She married Henry Alexander Atkins, son of Henry Price Atkins and Alice Gertrude Daldy, on 14 September 1929 at Congregational Church, Black Rock, Victoria. Muriel Constance Shallcrass died on 3 December 1991 at 'Fairly', Midford., England, at age 86; Death Cert. Bath, Avon Entry No. 277. She was buried in June 1993 at 'Fairly', Midford, Avon; Ashes in garden.

Chief Insp. 1869 to 1874. 1874 - 1883 Goaler at Nelson. Robert Shallcrass lived at Merton Cottage, Brougham St, Nelson, New Zealand. He died on 27 May 1888 at Nelson, New Zealand, at age 68. He was buried at Fairfield Cemetery, Trafalgar St., Nelson, New Zealand; Now a park.
