     Samuel Rootsey Daldy was Coal Merchant, boat owner. He was born in 1782 at Ipswich, Suffolk. He was the son of Nottingham Daldy and Mary Rootsey. Samuel Rootsey Daldy married Catherine Mee on 23 June 1807 at Westham, Sussex. Samuel Rootsey Daldy died on 15 April 1834.

     Eliza Davis married William Shallcrass, son of William (Shallcrass) Shallcross and Elizabeth Newett, in 1810.
